UN World Sustainability Goal

THE UN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF OUR WORK AT ZENZ ORGANIC PRODUCTS

At ZENZ Organic Products, we believe it is important that we, as a company, help to achieve the goals set by the UN to create a more sustainable world. Specifically, we work with 12 of the 17 world goals.

The goals we cannot actively support on our own, we try to contribute to, by entering into partnerships with other companies.

GOAL # 1 ELIMINATE POVERTY

Together with the PlanChild Foundation, ZENZ Organic Products helps young mothers get away from poverty and prostitution in Kampala, Uganda. The young mothers are trained as hairdressers and thus have the opportunity to support themselves and their families. You can read more about the project Support the Girls. 

OBJECTIVE # 3 HEALTH AND WELLNESS

At ZENZ Organic Products, we opt out of all ingredients that are, or are suspected to be, endocrine disruptors, allergies and / or carcinogens. ZENZ Organic Products strives to be the healthiest beauty products on the market.

We always ensure good working conditions, both in our ZENZ Organic Hairdressing salons and in the rest of our business including our production. 

 

OBJECTIVE # 4 QUALITY EDUCATION

In our ZENZ Organic Hairdressing salons, our hairdressers have time and time again proved to be among the most skilled in Denmark. We offer in-house training through ZENZ Organic Academy, which includes a management training for hairdressers. You can read more about our hairdressing salons.

In Kampala, Uganda, in cooperation with the PlanChildren Foundation, we help provide vulnerable women with a hairdressing education. Many of these women have started their own salon after graduation. 

 

GOAL # 5 GENDER EQUALITY

We are in favor of 100% equality in terms of gender, religion or other differences.

 

GOAL # 6 PURE WATER AND SANITY

ZENZ Organic Products does not damage the groundwater either in the production phase or in the use phase. In our ZENZ Organic Hairdressing salons, products that do not affect our groundwater or deteriorate the quality are not used.

 

GOAL # 7 SUSTAINABLE ENERGY

We buy energy from sustainable forms of energy, and help to ensure that a greater proportion of more sustainable energy is used in the Danish electricity grid.

 

OBJECTIVE # 9 INDUSTRY, INNOVATION AND INFRASTRUCTURE

We are proud to be able to influence the standard in a positive direction within the beauty industry, as well as being able to inspire to develop and develop more sustainable ingredients and technologies in relation to beauty products.

 

GOAL # 10 REDUCE INEQUALITY

We take pride in paying our employees a fair salary. We fight to reduce inequality in all areas, including treating all our fellows with the same respect.

 

OBJECTIVE # 12 RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND PRODUCTION

At ZENZ Organic Products, we work fundamentally to ensure high sustainability in all processes, and always take responsibility for the outside world. We try to set a good example, and in our communication, to influence our employees and customers to act more sustainably.

ZENZ Organic Products are multifunctional and in use, enabling the consumer and / or the hairdressing salon to reduce its total consumption of beauty products.

 

GOAL # 14 LIFE IN THE SEA

With our ZENZ Organic Products version 2.0, we take active responsibility for cleaning up the oceans of the world and helping to remove plastic from them, and to improve the possibilities of marine life by using Ocean Waste Plastic.

 

GOAL # 15 LIFE ON COUNTRY

ZENZ Organic Products uses recycled materials, thus reducing consumption of, and the need for, new materials such as virgin plastic and virgin paper. We also have waste sorting and return schemes that help improve life on land.

 

OBJECTIVE # 17 ACTION PARTNERSHIPS

We work continuously locally and globally with organizations that, like us, work to support the world goals.

Among these are the PlanBørnefonden, Project Homeless, Mothers' Aid, Knæk Cancer and UNICEF.
